About
Once an old homestead with the original barn and old elm tree; Hudson Gardens was transformed into a unique nursery, gift shop, and
2 acre vegetable and cut flower garden.
After the land was purchased in 2001, fences and trees were cleared, a garden plot prepared, and a 30x96 cold frame was erected. The addition
of water and electric lines provided native limestone to build the retaining walls. The old barn was re-sided and moved, a new retail building
was erected in its place. The old elm tree provides a cool shady place where visitors can come together and enjoy the surroundings.
We added a gift shop in the spring of 2003. Over the years we increased our plant selection, provided and delivered fresh vegetables and cut flowers, and expanded our landscaping services. We have enjoyed hosting the Highway 77 Tour, Taste of Butler Homegrown Dinner, Fall Mum Fest, May Day Potting Party, Fabulocity, and Daycare Field Days.
Since our opening in the fall of 2002, we have experienced many blessings and shared countless memories.
Effective October 31, 2010, we ceased our operation of retail services.
